Run One Of Chicago's Most Famous Landmarks!

INFORMATION

Run, walk or jog one of Chicago's most famous landmarks. Chicago's premier one mileevent is on a panckae flat course that ends right under the Navy Pier welcome arches.

COURSE
Run your fastest mile on the pancake flat course.   Start next to the famed  ferris wheel, make the wide sweeping turn around the tip of the pier to a view of the Chicago Skyline, run past the shops and docks and smile as you have your photo finish beneath the Navy Pier welcoming arch.

7:00 AM Packet Pick Up, Registration & Gear Check Opens
(Participants must pick up their packet or register at least 20 mins prior to their wave start)
7:30 AM Start Staging Participants
7:45 AM Wave 1 Male/Female Age Group: 45-49, 50-54, 55-59 & 60+
7:53 AM Wave 2 Male Age Group:14 & under, 15-19, 20-24 & 25-29
8:01 AM Wave 3 Female Age Group:14 & under, 15-19, 20-24 & 25-29
8:09 AM Wave 4 Male Age Group: 30-34, 35-39, 40-44
8:17 AM Wave 5 Female Age Group: 30-34, 35-39, 40-44
8:20 AM Wave 6 Male/Female Recreational Run & Walk (Recommended for those who will complete a mile in 12 to 24 min, all ages)

WHICH WAVE IS FOR ME?
If you can complete a mile in 12 minutes or less then you should sign up for your age group wave. If you will take longer than 12 minutes to complete a mile or are a walker then you should sign up for the recreational run & walk. Eventhough there are combined age groups in some waves, each wave is scored Separately .

OVERALL & AGE GROUP AWARDS
Awards will be awarded to the top 3 participants, male and female in each age group. In addition their will be an award for the overall fastest time for male and female.
14 & under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59 & 60-64, 65+

All Community Events recommends eco-friendly transportation for your convenience:  carpool, bicycle or use public transit!

-Limited street parking may be available near by (fees may apply)
Paid parking is available at the pier.
Bicycle parking is available near the race start/finish location.

GENERAL NOTES
This event is chip timed.

Runners and walkers can participate in this event.

All participants are required to read and sign the event waiver form.  Click mail in registration link or waiver link on registration page for event waiver.

Monitored gear check will be provided.  Pick up and drop off will be at the start area.  The event is not responsible for any lost or stolen items.

It is the participant’s responsibility to make sure that they do not impair their ability to hear, see, sense, and detect present or potential hazards and dangers.

Navy Pier is always open to the public unless otherwise noted by Navy Pier. Please visit navypier.com for rules and regulations which are in effect throughout the duration of the event. All City, County, State, and National Laws apply at this event.

If at anytime you are in need of assistance throughout the event please notify a volunteer or course monitor.

No dogs. No strollers.

The event will start rain, snow or shine. The event could be delayed due to lightning or other dangerous conditions.  Above schedule is weather dependent.
