2013 points standings

INFORMATION
The Chicago Half Marathon Series is a diverse collection of 6 half marathons located all over Chicagoland throughout the year.  Participate in at least 3 of the 6 half marathons and you are eligible for the series. This is a chance for half marathoners of all levels and ages to track their performance throughout the year as well as compete against other fellow half marathoners for age group or overall glory.  If you participate in more than 3 races then only your best 3 races will count toward the series.  All participants will receive a point for participating in each race and the top 15 in each age group and overall from each half marathon will receive additional points on a graduated scale. At the end of the year, ALL series participants will be receive a FREE SERIES PRIZE.

HOW TO REGISTER
Participants do not need to register for the series, they just need to participate in at least 3 of the 6 series half marathons.

All participants from each half marathon will automatically be entered into the series after each half marathon. Series point will be updated and posted to the website after each half marathon. At the end of the year all participants who participated in less than 3 races will be removed from the series.

POINTS SCALE

Age Group Series: Participants in each age group for each half marathon will be awarded points based on the above points scale for male and female:
14 & under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59 & 60-64, 65+

Overall Champion Series: The top 15 males and females from each race will automatically be entered into the Overall Champion Series. The top 15 males and females from each race will be awarded points based upon the points scale above for the Overall Champion Series.

Participants who earn points in the Overall Champion Series still earn points in the Age Group Series.
